AMDP aims to enrich students' lives and provides students with experiences that enhance their physical, intellectual, aesthetic, and social development.Dance education provides all students with opportunities to participate in, experience, understand, and value the language and art of dance. Although performance is a by-product of dance, the emphasis of dance education will focus on understanding and knowing about the subject area and, more importantly, how it relates to life and life-long learning. This program teaches students fundamentals in dance and choreography, and helps students develop creativity, self-discipline, responsibility, adaptability, organization, communication and collaboration skills and time management, essential skills for the 21st century . Dance educates the whole person by stimulating the mind, body and spirit by not only contributing to the development of self, but also to the development of society.
